Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Directory Services Engineer to provide Active Directory support for the AFCENT Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Shaw AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain an Active Directory architecture solution. Provide support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. Perform daily systems monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware and software using a project-based timeline. Provide management of internal DNS and DHCP for Active Directory domains. Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on system use to include account utilization, Directory Information Tree (DIT) accuracy, and directory replication and Global Address List (GAL) replications using with the AF Hub. Perform PowerShell scripting for AD administration. Analyze a wide array of networking metrics and recognize substandard network performance. Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents. Provide LAN/WAN support. Qualifications 5+ years experience in a systems engineering or administration role. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified. Must be Network+ or CCNA certified. Must hold the ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification or be able to obtain the certification within 60 days of hire. Must have firewall experience. Extensive experience with MS Windows and Active Directory. Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions. Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution. Solid customer service and communication skills are critical as well as the ability and willingness to communicate effectively and appropriately in an empathetic and understanding manner. Must be able to provide support in a 24/7/365 environment including occasionally covering shifts outside of the assigned shift and/or providing after hours, weekend, or holiday support as needed on a rotational basis. Must be able to travel to CONUS sites to provide TDY support. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
