Job Description

  • Job Summary
  • The Application Systems Specialist leads the development, implementation, and optimization of digital product solutions across the organization.
This role acts as a strategic partner and product owner, responsible for defining product vision, managing delivery cycles, and ensuring digital solutions meet business needs and user expectations. The Specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business stakeholders, to support agile development, drive innovation, and maintain alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Essential Functions
  • + Leads the development and delivery of digital products and features from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
+ Collaborates with internal teams to define business and technical requirements and translate them into functional product solutions. + Manages and prioritizes product backlogs and roadmaps based on business value, user feedback, and market trends. + Identifies and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform decision-making. + Conducts user research, gathers stakeholder feedback, and incorporates insights into continuous product improvement. + Maintains expertise in agile methodologies, supporting sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management. + Partners with technical teams to ensure new capabilities meet operational readiness and production requirements. + Communicates product vision, updates, and milestones to stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership. + Mentors junior team members, supporting knowledge sharing and professional growth. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Maintains regular and reliable attendance. + Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required + 7-9 years of experience in Information Technology or related product development environment required + 4-6 years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Systems Analyst role required
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • + Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
+ Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery. + Proficiency in digital product lifecycle management, including technical documentation and product roadmaps. + Experience working with IT architecture, development, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable digital solutions. + Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and customer value. + Experience with agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and data visualization/reporting tools. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
