Job Description
Position Summary The Quality Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of the company's quality management system and inspection documentation processes. This role focuses on quality record review, document control, evidence collection, calibration administration, training coordination, and support of nonconformance and corrective action activities. This position works closely with inspectors, operations, engineering, and management to help ensure quality records are complete, accurate, organized, and audit-ready. The role is well suited for a quality professional who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working within ISO-based systems and manufacturing documentation requirements. Key Responsibilities Review inspection reports, test records, checklists, and related quality documents for completeness, correctness, and compliance with internal requirements. Review inspection and production images for proper identification, completeness, and usability, and load records and images into the company's document repository. Maintain organized quality documentation and records to support traceability, internal review, and external audit readiness. Support the administration and routine use of the ISO Core Business Solutions system, including nonconformances, corrective actions, supplier corrective actions, and related quality records. Monitor open quality actions and follow up with responsible personnel to help ensure timely response, supporting data, and proper closure. Maintain calibration records and coordinate calibration activities for inspection, test, and measuring equipment. Monitor training records and help ensure inspectors and other applicable personnel are trained, current, and qualified for assigned responsibilities. Support inspectors by helping verify required forms, reports, evidence, and documentation are properly completed and filed. Assist with collection, organization, and reporting of quality data to support quarterly objectives, KPIs, and management review activities. Help gather and maintain objective evidence needed for audits, internal reviews, corrective action follow-up, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support document control activities, including maintaining current forms, logs, procedures, and supporting records. Communicate with quality, operations, purchasing, and engineering personnel to resolve documentation gaps and incomplete records. Qualifications Associate degree or bachelor's degree in quality, manufacturing, engineering technology, business, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Experience in a quality, inspection, manufacturing support, or quality systems role. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
quality management systems and controlled documentation practices. Experience reviewing test records, inspection reports, and related quality documentation for accuracy and completeness. Working knowledge of nonconformance, corrective action, supplier corrective action, calibration, and training record processes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using electronic document repositories and quality management systems. Ability to manage multiple open items and maintain accurate follow-up. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with ISO Core Business Solutions or similar quality management software. Familiarity with audit preparation, KPI reporting, and evidence collection. Experience supporting calibration systems and inspection record control. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
