Intermediate IT Installation and Service Technician Position Summary:

The Intermediate IT Installation and Service Technician II is responsible for independently installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining cameras, networking equipment, servers, and related systems in dairy and livestock facilities. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality service to customers. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing installation and service work with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain cameras, networking equipment, servers, and related systems in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
• Run and organize various cables and wiring as part of system installations.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of equipment including switches, wireless bridges, servers, cameras, and parlor systems.
• Experience with fiber optic and wireless radios.
• Strong understanding of how TCP/IP functions.
• Safely operate hand tools, ladders, and bucket trucks as required by job assignments.
• Perform installations and service work in a variety of conditions, including elevated areas, confined spaces, and environments with livestock.
• Travel regularly to customer sites, operating a company vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience working with computers, networking, servers, or related technologies required.
• Prior experience with cabling, network equipment, or security camera systems required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform physical work in a range of environments.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to varying temperatures and livestock environments.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Familiarity with dairy or livestock facility operations (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of dairy parlor or barn equipment (preferred)
