This Copier Service Technician Position Features:
Printer/Copier Service Technician Position Summary Seeking a dependable and technically skilled Printer/ Copier Service Technician to support the installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of both developmental and production equipment and systems. This role is customer-facing and requires strong technical aptitude, organization, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Maintain a valid driver's license and proof of insurance; comply with all Service Department policies and procedures Perform service calls and equipment installations as assigned by the Service Manager Assist with sales support and customer meetings as needed Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment; support other technicians with network-related issues Communicate schedules, delays, and ETAs clearly to customers and the Service Manager Pre-call customers and provide accurate arrival estimates Recommend improvements to installation specifications to enhance assembly and maintenance efficiency Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify equipment; document performance impacts Demonstrate equipment operation to customers following installation or repair Verify proper system performance under real operating conditions Prepare detailed service and installation reports Read and interpret technical manuals; continuously develop technical and network support knowledge Assemble and evaluate prototype equipment when required Submit expense reports, charge tickets, and administrative documentation accurately and on time Use internal software systems to manage service calls, parts orders, and documentation Maintain performance metrics including machine reliability, response time, recall rate, and incomplete rate Inspect company vehicle prior to routes and operate equipment safely at all times Maintain vehicle, tools, and inventory in a clean and organized condition Wear company-issued uniform and maintain a professional appearance Communicate safety concerns, delays, equipment failures, and incidents to dispatch and management Communicate training needs to management to improve service effectiveness Maintain regular and predictable attendance Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong customer service skills with a solutions-focused mindset Self-motivated problem solver with strong research and troubleshooting abilities Ability to read, write, and interpret technical manuals and procedures Highly organized, punctual, and capable of multitasking effectively Strong work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Broad technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems and proprietary software Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree or technical school training preferred May be required to pass a Core Basic Copier Technology Exam.
