Responsible for installation, configuration, operation, monitoring and maintenance of information systems hardware, software, and infrastructure for organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoots system issues. Troubleshoot problems with hardware and software as needed. Document issues and resolutions within ticketing software. Maintain information systems assets. Maintain systems security. Monitor systems to maintain a high level of availability and performance. Ensure that systems run current revisions of firmware and software. Maintain an inventory of equipment and installed software. Recommend and perform replacement of end-of-life hardware and software. Administers information systems. Manage day-to-day operations of servers and related infrastructure. Assist with development of new system and application implementation plans and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. Monitor system logs for unauthorized activity. Create and implement group policies to enforce company policy and to maintain a high level of reliability. Apply security settings and best practices to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Performs functions in support of the information technology department. Provide backup support for the help desk team, assisting with end-user technical issues, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution Adhere to the principle of least privilege and always maintain information security as a high priority.
OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS
Maintain confidentiality on a daily basis. Work well with other employees. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Take occasional after-hours support calls that have been escalated from the help desk. Qualifications
EDUCATION
 High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
 Five years' experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role required. Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems in server and workstation environments. Experience with VMware 7.0+, iSCSI SANs, VoIP telephone systems, IPS preferred.
PERSONAL JOB-RELATED SKILLS
 Knowledge in systems and information technology operations. Effective oral and written communication skills. Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems.
LICENSURE, REGISTRY, CERTIFICATIONS
 CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+,
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate, CCNA, or equivalent preferred. Valid state driver's license required.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
 Travel is required and reimbursed at the prevailing IRS business mileage rate. Duties of the position require intermittent walking, sitting, and standing. Long periods of sitting required. Some bending, stooping, and reaching is required with the lifting/carrying of items on occasion up to 50 pounds. The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
