PGS is most recognized in major airports, hospitals, universities, retail centers, and municipalities by its dynamic directional signage and the red and green LED indicator lights over every parking space. All devices used are low voltage and operate on either Ethernet or
RS485/422
networks. We are looking for a skilled, motivated, customer-centric Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications and low-voltage systems that include network hardware and software. The ideal candidate has hands on customer- centric experience with networking equipment, serial devices, and related tools, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You'll play a key role in ensuring our systems operate at peak performance across diverse work environments. Key Responsibilities Install and configure parking guidance systems and other low-voltage equipment at customer sites and or/ via remote assistance & support. Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage systems, including serial devices, cameras, switches, and related components, both on site and via remote assistance & support. Perform routine maintenance and inspections using hand tools and test equipment (e.g., voltmeters). Collaborate with service technicians to quickly and effectively resolve customer issues in a professional manner that builds customer trust and loyalty. Accurately document all service activities, including logistics (date, time and address), installations, repairs, and customer interactions as well as PGS opportunities to help prevent customer pain points (e.g. conduct courtesy site visits when in the local area, mention optional extended warranties and/ or maintenance agreements.) Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines. Travel as needed within the continental U.S. Qualifications Experience in computer networking or telecommunications preferred. Familiarity with cabling, security, or low-voltage systems is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools and test equipment (e.g., voltmeters). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills for working with both clients and team members. Ability to work independently in varied environments while managing time effectively. Valid driver's license (may be required for travel between job sites).
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
