Yokogawa Corporation of America seeks Senior Systems Service Engineer in Sugar Land, TX. Perform multi-level system shutdown and periodic maintenance activities on integrated control systems and process products, exercising independent judgment to address non-routine technical issues. Provide senior-level technical support for system malfunctions and emergency situations, conducting detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve complex operational problems. Assess system performance and customer operational requirements to recommend system enhancements, upgrades, migration paths, or replacement solutions. Conduct system operational testing and implement hardware and software upgrades in distributed control environments. Provide technical input and feedback to operations, sales, Technical Support Center, and Quality Assurance regarding system functionality, recurring service issues, and potential product improvements. Apply advanced knowledge of process control principles, distributed control systems (DCS), and optional software platforms (including historian, Fieldbus, reporting tools, and OPC packages) to support system optimization efforts. Analyze system performance data and service history to identify trends and recommend corrective or preventive actions to maintain operational efficiency and reliability. Provide guidance to junior service personnel on complex technical issues, as needed. Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or foreign equivalent. Requires 5 years of progressive experience as Systems Engineer or Service Engineer or related occupation in control systems, industrial automation, or related engineering field.
