Infastructure & Security Specialist (Entry Level)

We are seeking an entry-level Infrastructure & Security Operations Specialist to support and maintain our IT infrastructure and security environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career with an interest in systems administration, networking, and cybersecurity. You will gain hands-on experience across infrastructure, security operations, and end-user support in a fast-paced environment. Support and maintain servers, network systems, and cloud infrastructure Assist with virtualization (Xen Orchestra) Manage telephony and email systems Monitor infrastructure, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot issues Deploy, configure, and maintain firewalls and endpoint security solutions Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls Perform system patching, updates, and basic vulnerability remediation Support clients with infrastructure and security-related troubleshooting Maintain accurate technical documentation and support compliance efforts Assist with VPN and remote access solution

Qualifications:

Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Familiarity with Linux server administration Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles Eagerness to learn and grow in IT infrastructure and security Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience through a home lab or internships related to IT infrastructure or security Exposure to firewalls, VPN's, or cloud platforms Familiarity with Kubernetes, PBS systems, or Google Workspace Basic scripting knowledge (Bash or Python) Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or
