Hybrid Job Shift Day Apply Description SUMMARY:
The AR System Specialist is responsible for managing appeal process for ADRs and complex claims. The position is also responsible for maintaining pricing and rates in billing software and working with Providers to assure claim submission and electronic file receipt. Performs necessary account adjustments as outlined in essential functions below. Assists in maintaining accurate payer setup in billing software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for tracking and managing appeals for claims and ADRs
  • Assist in developing and maintaining pricing and rates in billing software and working with Providers to ensure claim submission and electronic file receipt. Maintain billing software payer setup per contracts
  • Performs timely contractual adjustments and ADR/appeal adjustments and write offs approved by Assist A/R Director and Billing Manager,
  • Attend training sessions as necessary.
  • Promote and demonstrate a Service Excellence culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, or equivalent. Minimum two years' billing experience, preferably in health care. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe, and Outlook. Demonstrated analytical skills for the reconciliation of patient accounts. High level of initiative, confidentiality, organizational skills, and ability to follow complex instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with payer specific state and local officials as well as center personnel, insurance company representatives, residents, and responsible parties.
