Salary:

  • $160,000 Insight Global is hiring a System Administrator / Network Engineer to support a large federal customer in Chantilly, VA.
This is a fully onsite role (5 days/week) supporting mission-critical infrastructure in a highly secure environment. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance across the environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure
  • Maintain network reliability and proactively resolve performance issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance (patching, upgrades, security updates)
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex network issues, recommending improvements
  • Partner with field engineers to simulate system performance and optimize solutions
  • Support design efforts including system, subsystem, and network documentation
  • Contribute to design documentation (layouts, wiring, hardware, communications)
  • Execute system testing, commissioning, and validation activities
  • Prepare test reports and project cost estimates
  • Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on networking experience (design, configuration, testing, documentation)
  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper switches
  • Experience with Cisco Firepower and Juniper
