In this role you will support a large-scale enterprise OneDrive modernization initiative. This role will focus on both the migration of user personal data from on-premises Windows file services to Microsoft OneDrive and the operational sustainment of the OneDrive environment after migration completion. As a mission-focused infrastructure engineer, you will independently identify and resolve complex migration, synchronization, storage, profile-management, and access-related issues across Windows, networking, storage, endpoint, and Microsoft 365 cloud environments. The role requires hands-on expertise with enterprise file services, OneDrive administration, user profile technologies, PowerShell automation, and cloud-hosted user data management. You will assist with migration planning and execution, validate migration integrity, preserve enterprise folder structures, support archival and retention standards, troubleshoot user profile and synchronization issues, and help define modernization strategies for endpoint profile management as the organization transitions away from traditional roaming profiles. Required Education, Experience, & Skills We are looking for a Microsoft 365 OneDrive & Endpoint Services Engineer with the following skills and education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field; with minimum 11+ years of relevant experience. Significant experience supporting enterprise Windows environments, user data services, and Microsoft 365 platforms Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft OneDrive for Business environments in enterprise organizations Experience assisting with migration of user data from on-premises Windows file servers to Microsoft OneDrive environments Experience utilizing: SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) PowerShell scripting and automation Microsoft 365 administration and migration tooling Experience administering and sustaining OneDrive environments after migration, including: Synchronization troubleshooting Storage management Policy administration User support Operational sustainment Experience preserving and validating folder structures, file integrity, and access continuity during migration initiatives Strong understanding of: OneDrive administration Microsoft 365 cloud storage concepts User profile management File synchronization technologies Hybrid Windows environments Knowledge of Windows user profile technologies, including: Roaming profiles Folder redirection User profile dependencies Profile-related performance and synchronization troubleshooting Experience supporting on-premises infrastructure dependencies associated with user profiles and endpoint services Ability to assist with defining modernization strategies for profile and endpoint data management, including migration away from roaming profiles Experience developing and documenting archival, retention, and lifecycle management standards for cloud-hosted user data while preserving enterprise folder structures Knowledge of Microsoft 365 compliance, retention, governance, and data protection best practices Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex migration, synchronization, profile, and access-related issues Hands-on experience writing and maintaining PowerShell automation for migration workflows, reporting, validation, and operational support Experience supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise file services, including: SMB shares NTFS permissions DFS Namespaces DFS Replication Experience working with cloud platforms and hybrid enterprise environments, including: Microsoft Azure Microsoft 365 OneDrive for Business Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Service Desk, IT Operations, Endpoint Engineering, Security, and Cloud Engineering Strong documentation skills, including operational procedures, migration runbooks, standards, and technical diagrams Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to support users, technical teams, and leadership during migration and sustainment activities Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-tempo operational environments Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical teams Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Advanced proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation Experience developing automated migration workflows and validation reporting Experience supporting large-scale Microsoft 365 modernization initiatives Experience supporting or modernizing enterprise user profile management solutions Experience with: OneDrive administration SharePoint Online Azure AD / Entra ID Microsoft Purview retention policies Microsoft 365 compliance and governance tooling FSLogix or similar profile container technologies Experience defining enterprise archival and retention standards for cloud-hosted user data Familiarity with endpoint modernization initiatives and cloud-based profile management strategies
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
$149603 - $254317 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
