Job Description

We are looking for a high-level Senior MSP Technician who can balance advanced technical delivery with team leadership. This role is designed for a veteran of the MSP space who enjoys solving complex infrastructure puzzles but also finds satisfaction in mentoring junior staff and ensuring service excellence across the board. The ideal candidate will be a primary point of escalation for difficult tickets and a strategic lead for client projects, while also overseeing the day-to-day workflow of our technical team.
Key Responsibilities Advanced Technical Support:
Act as the final point of escalation for complex server, network, and security issues.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, conducting regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and technical training.
Workflow Management:
Oversee the service desk queue to ensure SLAs are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
Project Engineering:
Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure projects, including server migrations, network hardening, and cloud transitions.
Strategic Planning:
Assist in developing long-term IT roadmaps for clients and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Accountability:
Ensure documentation is accurate, time tracking is diligent, and client communication is professional and proactive.
Required Skills & Experience Experience:
7+ years in a technical role, with at least 3+ years specifically within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Leadership:
Proven experience managing or leading a team of technical staff.
Technical Stack Proficiency:
Servers:
Expert-level Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP).
Virtualization:
Deep experience with VMware or Hyper-V environments.
Networking:
Advanced configuration of Firewalls (VLANs, VPNs, NAT), Switches, and Wireless Access Points.
Cloud:
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure, and cloud backup solutions.
Tools:
Mastery of RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) and PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business owners. Why Join Us?
