Job Description

Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Network Administrator to join our Information Technology department! The Network Administrator is responsible for the support, implementation and maintenance of the WWH information technology infrastructure using best practices to ensure a secure, reliable and highly available Network and IT environment. Leads technical support functions that relate to networks, security, redundancy and connectivity. Provides administration and set-up of network configuration and servers including physical and virtual. The Network Administrator applies significant professional experience and training in information technology to the most complex assignments including support and installation of server operating system software and various support tools. Works under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Information Technology. All of this is done to support the organization's mission while living our values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains current knowledge with respect to state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems used at WWH; Monitors and adjusts systems to achieve optimum performance levels; Works collaboratively with WWH IT Manager, WWH System Administrator, and outside resources to provide Security operations oversight including: Security hardening Incident and threat management Implement Layered security strategies Maintain knowledge of common attack vectors, security exploits, and defense strategies Maintain a solid working knowledge of Information Security principles and practices Collaborates with other information technology team members and vendors used as subject matter experts, such as: Managing Network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, servers & SAN (including physical and virtual servers) Monitoring network bandwidth usage and addresses issues to ensure adequate capacity Monitoring network security and configuration; Backs-up management in collaboration with systems administrator; Manages Servers and server-based applications; Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 2+ years related experience Experience with Cisco Firewalls and Network infrastructure Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field MSCE or Cisco certifications 5+ years with network and server management Experience in health care IT Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards Knowledge of server operating systems and Networking technologies Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility Ability to clearly and effectively convey information to individuals or groups, including ability to choose the appropriate method or methods of communication Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment Exhibit an independent drive and demonstrated ability to lead change Work schedule: 1.0 FTE - 80 hours per biweekly pay period Evening and Weekend on-call rotation
