DESCRIPTION
: Responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining all surveillance systems and related equipment. Establishes management objectives and evaluates technician performance.

Primarily, the position will be a design and integration role responsible for Casino Surveillance coverage, network, storage, and virtualized server environments (KVM); Communicates regularly with the Surveillance Manager and informs him on all projects and installations. Responsible for the security, planning, design, implementation, and management of a HA private cloud architecture. Including network SDN/IDS/NSM, provisioning, and legacy Windows DVR network management tools. Researches, builds and deploys open-source solutions for storage, virtualization, and automation. Coordinates projects and installations with the Surveillance Manager and other Department Managers. Coordinate with department managers (security, IT, Maintenance etc) to ensure projects are done on time and to keep them informed. SCSI / XFS
/ ZFS, and distributed file system storage environments. Maintain proper camera, network, application, and server documentation. Implementation and maintenance of LAMP (Nginx / Mongodb / NodeJS) applications plus PHP / Python / Bash scripting for automation. Oversees effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, annual reviews, and other technician-related issues. Identifies all malfunctions in both analog and IP-based systems, then repairs or replaces defective components. Involves troubleshooting, keeping accurate repair logs, inventory, installation, parts replacement, and proper use of tools and associated test equipment. Remains accessible for system malfunctions on an on-call basis; Responsible for maintaining spare parts, ordering supplies, vetting prospective hardware/software, and camera cleaning. Delegate tasks to technical staff. Experience creating and supporting write dominant storage environments for (SAN, NAS CEPH, PNFS, and iSCSI) using open-source software on commodity and enterprise-grade hardware. Skills in oral and written communication. Interacts professionally with employees via radio, telephone, and email. Solid knowledge of TCP\IP Layer 2 networks. Demonstrable scripting skills (Python \ Bash \ PHP \ Ruby or Perl). Strong, wide-spectrum troubleshooting skills (board-level components through software debugging). Substantial working knowledge of web service protocols like ONVIF, SOAP, and JSON relating to CCTV or IP video management components. Knowledge of the regulations governing the rules and conduct of authorized games Able to work in a casino environment. Mobility to climb ladders and stairs frequently. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative relationships with other Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation departments, vendors, and other interested parties. Strength to lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis. Must work in tight spaces (attics, crawlspaces). Tolerant of heights and able to perform work duties while on tall ladders and/or mechanical lifts. Must be able to operate mechanical lifts (man lift, scissor lift & knuckle boom) Strong organizational skills, i.e., prioritizing, multitasking, planning, and coordinating work duties. Must obtain and maintain a State/Tribal License (including extensive background check and fingerprinting). Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Minimum Qualifications/Education:
High school diploma or GED Certification Three (3) or more years in installing and maintaining analog CCTV systems. Three (3) or more years in installing and maintaining ONVIF IP-based surveillance systems. Four (4) years of experience in systems administration dedicated to Linux systems. Eight (8) plus years overall experience in an I.T. System Support role.
