Job Description
The IT Technician will have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. They will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality with the goal of optimizing the role of technology on business sustainability.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.Certification:
CompTIA A+ certification or an equivalent The ideal candidate will possess the following: An in depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks. Knowledge of security and data privacy principles. Experience with Server OS and VMWare preferred. Microsoft M365 experience preferred. 2 years' experience as an Information Systems Technician or a similar role. Great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. A team player with an attitude of service.Job Requirements:
Support of the technology infrastructure (Servers, Network, Telecoms, Desktop, Security systems). Set up computers and necessary peripheral devices. Check computer hardware to ensure functionality. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment. Perform upgrades and maintenance of applications and equipment with minimal impact on users. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.). Completes all related tasks as assigned by the Director of IT.On-call:
The IT department provide 24-7-365 support which requires IT Staff to provide on-call services outside of primary work hours. The Information Systems Technician must be willing and able to participate in the on-call schedule.Similar remote jobs
