Onsite and Remote Office Position Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Information Technology Systems Manager, the hardware support Technician will be responsible for maintaining and cataloging technology hardware inventory, preparing technology for staff and students, collecting technology from departing staff and students, and preparing technology for recycling.. This is subject to assisting personnel and students with information technology needs, supporting in-school device setup, maintenance and repair, performing general office, clerical and record‐keeping tasks, and other related duties as instructed.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS andRESPONSIBILITIES
Performs computer and peripheral equipment installations Assists personnel with all aspects of technology-related items, including software, hardware equipment, and materials Monitors, assists, and supports students and teachers through various technology-related activities Provides and arranges technology to assigned staff. Assists in the diagnosis and repair of technology and defective electronic or mechanical components by performing appropriate troubleshooting steps Checks, troubleshoots, and catalogs returned technology equipment for functionality Travel to sites as directed Maintains an inventory of all School technology including hardware in storage areas. Performs minor physical repairs on student Chromebooks Organizes and catalogs equipment to be retired from active inventory to be picked up and properly recycled. Supports and facilitates office and school events Organize technical equipment received from social events. Determines what equipment can still be used and what needs to be retired. Develops, streamlines, and improves systems and procedures within the department and across other departments within the school as needed Communicates and troubleshoots with staff as needed Assists with IT procedures for departing staff Supports the mission and vision of the school in all job functions by supporting, students, parents, and staffOther Duties:
Responds to all school related communication within 24 business hours Documents and refers to the school's management all formal disciplinary actions involving students; supporting management with addressing and resolving complaints from students and parents in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with the provisions of California Penal Code Section 11166 (Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act) Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS GUIDE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and Experience:
6 months of professional IT experience and up to two (2) years of clerical or secretarial experience preferred CompTIA A+ or equivalent IT certificateOther Qualifications:
State and federal fingerprint clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Ed. Code 44237). No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and Human Resources notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance. Proof of a clear TB Tine test or signed Certificate of Completion dated within the last 60 days (Ed. Code 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four years Hold and maintain a valid California Driver's License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations.Knowledge:
Computer and technology literacy: Operate office equipment including a calculator, copier, fax machine, computer and assigned software Google docs, Google spreadsheets and other online collaboration tools to send and receive information Basic arithmetic calculationsSkills:
