This position is responsible for Tier-1 monitoring and incident response, covering campus networks, servers, cloud environments, and enterprise applications. The NOC Technician acts as the primary steward for all physical IT assets housed within the campus data centers and computing spaces. Key responsibilities include ensuring the facility's stability, health, and security while efficiently escalating complex issues to the appropriate engineering and development teams. This position is classified as on-site. The full salary range for the Systems Analyst is $39.89 - $60.35 per hour. However, the pay scale for this position is up to $49.60 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring, alerting, and telemetry platforms (e.g., Solarwinds, Pingdom, Google Cloud Logging) for proactive incident detection General knowledge of other areas of IT. Familiarity with server hardware including memory and disks. Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance. Demonstrated experience writing and editing scripts of moderate complexity used to perform system maintenance and administration. Demonstrated knowledge of computer security best practices and policies. Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner. Familiarity with basic systems administration tasks in Windows and Linux. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Knowledge and abilities using IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, RT, Pinnacle or Magic. Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs. Knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) practices, out-of-band management technologies (e.g., iLO, iDRAC), and enterprise cabling standards. Knowledge of installing rack mounted servers and network equipment in standard datacenter racks.
