This role supports U.S. Navy Ships or Submarines under the direction of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) and serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Position Responsibilities:

Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following systems: Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES)

Automated Digital Network Systems (ADNS)

Integrated Shipboard Network Systems (ISNS)

AN/USQ-185

Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange Systems (CENTRIXS) Computer Network Defense Operating Systems (CND) o Naval Information Application Product Suite (NIAPS) o Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) o

AN/UYQ-96

Host Based Security System (HBSS) o Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems o Cisco Network Switches o LAN and WAN Swtiches Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems. Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Responsibilities:

Must be a US Citizen Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance High School Diploma or equivalent, associated Navy "A" School. 4+ years of related experience with shipboard CANES systems and associated systems. Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining systems. Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret manuals and standards. Effective communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling tools/equipment. Regular verbal and auditory communication. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to board naval crafts, navigating passageways and steep ladders. Comfortable working in shipboard and industrial environments. This position is located in San Diego, CA. The hourly wage for this position is $32.53 - $48.13 BOE.
