Desktop Nature of Work:

This is an entry-level, technical work in the delivery, installation, setup, testing, and maintenance of computer hardware and software components. Seasonals in this classification are responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware/software and providing department-wide end-user support.

Illustrative Tasks:

Install computer hardware, including personal computers, thin client terminals, printers, telephone handsets, and other components. Installation of various computer software. Isolate the nature of system failures or PC problems and utilize diagnostic utilities to troubleshoot problems. Provides department-wide end-user support and service regarding hardware and software problems. To be considered for this position, you should have: [ Skills, Education, or Experience]

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Basic knowledge of the current principles and practices of computer systems technology Basic knowledge of the current research and trends of new computer-related technologies Basic knowledge of cabling/wiring strategies. Basic knowledge of computer software applications to understand the process of installing and uninstalling software programs. Troubleshooting skills for network problems. System tools skill for troubleshooting. Skill in the use of computers and peripheral equipment.

Minimum Qualifications :
