The Ventura Group is seeking a highly experienced End User Support Technician to serve as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program.

The End User Support Technician will be responsible for:
Position Summary:
• Provide Information Technology support and Desktop Computer support for
SMC/RNSV
.
Responsibilities:
Identifying, diagnosing and troubleshooting installed hardware and software problems in response to customer service calls. Setting up, configuring and installing systems, upgrades, & patches to support new/existing customer personnel. Removal and replacement of failed equipment to include peripherals, system components and or software. Problem isolation of network connectivity, desktop hardware and or stand-alone/network installed software programs. Installation and testing of hardware/software upgrades to be installed on user workstations. Disconnect, relocate, and reconnect computer equipment as requested by the customer. Update site documentation/database to reflect installed/relocated equipment. Perform data backups, unlock accounts and accomplish basic administrator duties on customer s server(s), etc. Develop, edit, and update user manuals and system documentation. Enter, update and close support requests using REMEDY. Assist customer in the identification of new equipment/software for procurement. Interface with the local communication squadron for all network support requests requiring base/INOSC support. Visual ReqView Helpdesk responsibilities include, creating trouble tickets, troubleshoot connectivity issues and requesting assistance and working with the VrV development team located at Patrick AFB, Florida.
Experience and Qualifications:
Self-starter. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and within a team environment. Knowledge of computer systems, Windows operating systems, and Windows Office Products. Experience in basic hardware maintenance, upgrading, and troubleshooting of IBM Compatible hardware including peripherals, backup strategies, and server administration. Candidate must meet DoD 8750 requirements. Bachelor s Degree is highly desired.
Certifications Requirement:
DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification IAT Level II. (example: CompTIA Sec+ )
