Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Field Services Support technician, where you'll be the vital link in delivering exceptional on-site technical assistance and equipment maintenance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to troubleshoot complex systems, perform hands-on repairs, and support field service operations across diverse environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of hardware, software, and network components, helping clients stay productive and connected. Duties Diagnose and resolve software troubleshooting issues on a variety of equipment and systems in the field. Perform equipment repair and maintenance using hand tools, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Assist with computer hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting to keep systems running smoothly. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Support computer networking setups, configurations, and troubleshooting to maintain reliable connectivity. Conduct routine inspections of field equipment, identifying mechanical or electrical faults early to prevent downtime. Collaborate with service technicians and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) representatives to resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
Qualifications Requirements Mobility:
Ability to travel to various sites within the CRSA region of Iowa. Contractor will need to enter into a car use agreement with DAS.
Availability:
Participation in an on-call rotation as necessary to support critical business functions.
Technical Literacy:
Proficiency in ITSM systems, scripting for automation, and network hardware configuration.
Endpoint Management:
Ability to manage, patch, and maintain computer hardware, firmware, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).
Network Admin:
Proficiency in installing & config physical networking equipment and monitoring Wide Area Network or external communication circuits. Hands on installation; providing troubleshooting information to networking and server administrators; MS Teams phone experience may be of value
Systems Diagnostics:
Expertise in troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues for IT-specific systems and integrated components
ITSM Proficiency:
Experience using IT Service Management (ITSM) systems for inventory tracking, ticket management, and knowledge base documentation.

$30.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
