Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provides customer service related to the district's technology. Installs, configures and maintains computers at all district locations. Provides installation and support for computer workstations and application software. Performs general upgrades, repair and maintenance for computers and other electronic equipment.
Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to relate successfully with students, staff, and other school patrons. Ability to work independently. Strong working knowledge of computer operating systems. Ability to perform diagnostic examinations and repair of microcomputers. Ability to plan and implement scheduled preventive maintenance. Experience with LAN systems required. Knowledge of telecommunications systems.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides customer service related to the district's technology support. Responds to tasks through the district's work order reporting system. Maintains inventory, repair and work order records as directed. Assists with coordination of customer needs as directed. Assembles and installs new equipment. Trouble­shoots problems in the software/hardware area. Recommends changes in hardware/software configurations. Assists with the management/maintenance of the network infrastructure Assists in Internet and Intranet, installation, implementation and maintenance. Assists in LAN and WAN installation, implementation and maintenance. Assists with management/maintenance of various systems/servers Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting of 100 pounds maximum occasionally; frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds. Mobility as needed to visit all district buildings and classrooms. Must be able to drive a personal vehicle or to provide transportation suitable to accomplish responsibilities.
