Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Technology Support Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the frontline for technical assistance, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems across our organization. Your expertise will empower users to maximize their productivity while maintaining robust security and infrastructure standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to troubleshoot complex issues, implement solutions, and contribute to a resilient IT environment that drives our mission forward. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users across various platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Troubleshoot software issues related to productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and specialized enterprise applications. Manage computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance. Maintain and support IT infrastructure components like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, LAN/WAN networks, and network devices such as Meraki and Cisco switches. Assist with computer management tasks using tools like SCCM, GPOs (Group Policy Objects), and BMC Remedy for ticketing and asset management. Support network administration activities including TCP/IP configuration, TCP troubleshooting, DNS resolution, and network security protocols. Collaborate with team members using ServiceNow and Jira for incident tracking, problem resolution, and project management. Conduct analysis of system logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues before they impact users. Facilitate user onboarding/offboarding processes related to hardware setup, software installation, and access permissions. Requirements Proven experience in providing IT support with a focus on desktop support and help desk functions. Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, and Linux environments. Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN setup, firewall configuration (including Meraki), and network security best practices. Hands-on experience with software troubleshooting for applications like Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise tools. Ability to manage computer hardware components effectively while supporting mobile devices. Proficiency in using management tools such as SCCM for software deployment and GPO for policy enforcement. Experience working with IT ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for incident tracking and resolution. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear guidance for users of varying technical backgrounds. Strong analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions efficiently.
