This position represents a collaborative effort between the OAISD and participating local school districts to support summer technology projects. The primary focus of this role is the physical setup, installation, and basic configuration of computer hardware and associated equipment. One internship will work primarily with the Client Support Services (CSS) team. One internship will split responsibilities between the CSS and Network Operations team. Essential Job FunctionsHardware Setup:
Assists in the physical installation of computer hardware, peripheral equipment, and classroom technology.Device Configuration:
Supports the basic imaging and updating of student and staff devices, including Apple computers, Windows computers, Chromebooks and iPads.Demolition:
Assists with removal of old network cabling, video surveillance cameras, & other obsolete equipment.Network Installation:
Assists with installation of new network switches, patch cables and network documentation.Account Auditing:
Assists with auditing network and system accounts.Inventory Assistance:
Helps with asset tagging and physical inventory audits to ensure accurate record-keeping.Team Support:
Works cooperatively with technology staff to complete seasonal tasks and building-wide technology refreshes. Education & ExperienceEducation:
High school diploma or 3.0 GPA or higher is required.Technical Familiarity:
Experience in the setup and basic support of Apple computers and Windows computers, Chromebooks, and iPads is preferred.Licensing:
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to and from various worksites independently is required. Required Skills and AbilitiesListening and Following Directions:

Ability to accurately record serial numbers and follow specific step-by-step instructions for device imaging and configuration.Professionalism:

Consistent attendance and the ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Physical & Environmental RequirementsLifting:
Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Mobility:
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods to install or prepare equipment.Environment:
