Technology Specialist Troy, OH 45373 From $35,000 a year - Full-time From $35,000 a year - Full-time About us Troy Christian Schools, Inc. is a college and career-preparatory, inter-denominational Christian school. We are a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The school was founded in 1980 and was chartered in 1982 by the State of Ohio as a K-8 elementary school. In the fall of 2001, Troy Christian Schools, Inc. was chartered by the State of Ohio as an 18-months-old through 12th grade school. Our enrollment is 185 for early childhood, 265 for grades K-6, and 331 for grades 7-12. We have students from 38 different school districts and 77 different churches. Our goal is to assist parents in the education of their children's minds and the transformation of their hearts through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Work Schedule:
Full Time 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday with ½ hr lunch break) This job will require flex summer work hours in addition to regular work hours when school is in session. We are also open to considering a part-time arrangement if the candidate's qualifications and availability meet our requirements.
Job Goal:
Facilitate the delivery of technology in support of building staff, faculty and students. Provide input into the short and long-range planning for the Schools' Technology Program.

Technology Acceptable Use Policy Essential Duties:
Ensure system operation and perform installation, maintenance and repair of computer hardware, network connectivity, applications, peripherals and other technology components/equipment Troubleshoots classroom or office level technology issues and performs repairs to include replacement of components and complete systems Respond to all assigned help desk tickets and document solution and time spent on resolving issues in the help desk system Responds to questions and needs of end-users concerning the use of technology Interact with members of all departments to troubleshoot and resolve issues with technology services Help Systems Coordinator in updating supported system documentation to record installations, upgrades, inventory, configurations, etc. Maintain building technology labs, and equipment including PCs, laptops, Chromebooks, interactive displays, and all technology peripherals Help run and terminate network cable, mount technology appliances and hardware May assist in training others May be required to teach or monitor some technology classes as needed based on qualifications
Job Specifications:

Director of Technology or Systems Coordinator Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Demands:
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot a dynamic variety of hardware and software. Ability to install configure, upgrade operating systems and software. Ability to install, configure, assemble and perform basic repairs on computers, monitors and classroom technology equipment. Ability to terminate and install network cables. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Ability to sustain focus and attention to detail for extended periods of time. Must organize own work, setting priorities and meet critical time deadlines. Is expected to work with minimum supervision, handle a wide range of systems problems unassisted, assist the school-based personnel, and to fully support assigned systems and applications. Duties may require ability to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds for at least 35 feet. While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to drive, stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods of time.
