Job Description

Position Title:
Managed Services Infrastructure TechnicianRole Overview:
As a Managed Services Infrastructure Technician, you'll be instrumental in implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting cutting-edge network and IT infrastructure solutions for our clients. Operating in a dynamic environment, you'll ensure seamless service delivery through agile methodologies and meticulous attention to detail. From in-house configuration to on-site support, your expertise will drive client satisfaction and operational excellence. The Technician will provide these services in a per-hour billing or flat rate monthly setting and will track all time, in either case, for proper billing and cost accounting. Your responsibilities will encompass managing and supporting a variety of common devices and items, including:

Route/SwitchFirewall/VPNWirelessWire/Cable ManagementCybersecurity Best Practices and ImplementationsAdditionally, you'll collaborate with leading vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Fortinet to leverage their technologies and deliver state-of-the-art solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate client systems for optimization and upgrades.

Deliver agile network services, encompassing in-house, remote, and on-site support.

Provide comprehensive support for routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.

Collaborate with engineers to stage and deploy equipment, ensuring seamless integration.

Conduct precise infrastructure installations, including robust wire management solutions.

Execute and validate backup procedures to maintain data integrity.

Document network configurations and setups with clarity and precision.
Qualifications:
Associates or higher degree preferred.

Possession of Cisco certifications such as CCNA and CCNP is highly desirable.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT/Managed Services technician or equivalent work experience.
Work Environment:
Experience a dynamic blend of office and field work, adapting to the evolving needs of our clients.
Additional Requirements:
Embrace regional travel opportunities to support our diverse client base.

Be flexible to accommodate occasional after-hours or overtime shifts.

Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely support and resolution for critical issues outside of regular business hours.
Desired Attributes:
Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Profound understanding of modern IP infrastructure elements, including network security, cloud-based networking, and enterprise design principles.

Familiarity with ISP transport technologies and contemporary network architecture concepts, enabling effective collaboration with network engineers and architects in designing robust and scalable network solutions.
