This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing vital assistance with hardware, software, and network issues. As an MSP Technician, you will be instrumental in maintaining and troubleshooting IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across various platforms. This position is perfect for motivated individuals seeking flexible hours while making a meaningful impact in the technology support landscape. Responsibilities Provide technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone calls, and remote sessions, ensuring prompt resolution of issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across operating systems including Windows, and macOS environments Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals to optimize performance and reliability Assist with computer management tasks including software installations, updates, and configurations using tools like SCCM and GPO Support network administration activities including DNS configuration, TCP/IP troubleshooting, VPN setup, firewall management, LAN/WAN connectivity, and Fortinet network devices Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure components such as Windows Server environments and Active Directory accounts Utilize ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy to document issues accurately and track resolution progress Collaborate with team members on projects involving network security measures like firewall rules and VPN access policies Conduct analysis of system logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues before they impact users Qualifications Proven experience in technical support roles with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting Familiarity with operating systems including Microsoft Windows (client and server editions), and macOS Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, LAN/WAN architecture, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices Hands-on experience with remote management tools like SCCM or similar systems for deploying updates and managing devices Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users Ability to analyze complex problems quickly and develop effective solutions efficiently Experience supporting mobile devices and managing IT infrastructure components in a multi-platform environment is preferred Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or Cisco CCNA are a plus This role offers an engaging environment where your technical skills will directly contribute to the success of our clients' IT operations.
