Operations Tech II:
The Role The Operations Technician II, should have a strong understanding of Transmission (DS1/DS3/SONET), Switching (circuit-switching/SS7), and TCP/IP (routers/higher-layer protocols. Performs tasks associated with the maintenance and installation of company voice network service customers. With a strong understanding of telecommunications, the Operations Technician II will be responsible for troubleshooting, managing and correcting customer service issues. Training more junior Tech level personnel and have a working knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems are expected. The Main Responsibilities Technician for customer/company network systems installation and/or maintenance activities. Provides accurate and consistent customer communication during established intervals using phone, email, and ticketing notes. Troubleshoots, manages and corrects customer service issues that are in an impaired or out of service condition. Resolves complex network problems involving power, network hardware and software, lines, modems and terminals. Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and problems; conducts complex network monitoring equipment installation and maintenance activities; resolves complex trouble tickets What We Look For in a Candidate 2 years of college or technical school in electronics or telecommunications preferred Entry level experience and/or knowledge of at least one of the three major technical disciplines: Transmission (DS1/DS3/SONET), Switching (circuit-switching/SS7) and TCP/IP (routers/higher-layer protocols) Strong analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively prioritize workload Resourceful, innovative, and creative Work in a face-paced and ever-changing 24x7 environment, work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays Ability to work extra hours, including weekends or holidays to support the operations staf
Shift Timings:
Sunday Thursday 6am-2pm MDT/MST, Tuesday Saturday 6am 2 pm MDT/MST, or Sunday- Monday; Friday Saturday 6am 4pm MDT/MST Work location: Hybrid - Denver, Colorado
