Full Job Description PC/Network Technician Department:

$29.08•$36.14 per hour Summary Recommend, evaluate, test, obtain quotes, order, receive and install PC/Network hardware and software. Perform PC/Network hardware and software system upgrades. Provide PC/Network help desk functions, including user assistance, troubleshooting, resolving and training. Troubleshoot and coordinate resolutions to PC/Network systems problems. Coordinate repairs of company printers. Assist Network Administrator with maintaining hardware and software for network, telephony system, and network administration activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate, test, recommend, obtain quotes, order and install PC/Network hardware and/or software. Perform PC/Network hardware and software system upgrades. Recommend, evaluate, test, order, and install PC/Network printers. Performs software, firmware and hardware systems upgrades and coordinates printer repairs with outside vendor. Troubleshoot and coordinate the resolution of PC/Network and printer system problems. Provide PC/Network help desk functions including user assistance and training. Enter tracking tickets for all issues, problems, and resolutions turned into Help Desk function. Perform daily tape backups of servers and maintain offsite tape schedule. Assist Network Administrator with maintaining network including things like adding or replacing wiring and/or network cards. Ensure software registration and compliance with license software agreements. Conduct research on hardware and software upgrades. Maintain PC hardware and software inventory records. Coordinate work with outside vendors. Backup for Network/Telecom Administrator as needed. Keep up knowledge about PC/Network security threats and trends. Utilize virus, spamware and malware software to remove security threats from PC/Network. Perform other duties as assigned. knowledge, skills and abilities Must be computer literate and have familiarity with Microsoft Office Products. Understanding of current networking knowledge and familiarity with Window's Operating Systems and Microsoft Exchange is required. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and climb ladders up to 10 ft tall. Good with problem solving and the ability to troubleshoot, prioritize and resolve PC/Network hardware, software and printer problems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Usual office working conditions with moderate noise such as computers and printers, telephones and copy machines. Minimum qualifications An Associates degree in a related field plus a minimum of 2 years of related training and experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience. MCP and Network+ certification beneficial.
