Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Support Technician and become the backbone of our IT support operations! In this role, you will deliver exceptional technical assistance to users, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of our IT infrastructure. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help empower our organization to operate efficiently and securely. Responsibilities Provide prompt and professional technical support to end-users across various platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Troubleshoot software issues related to Microsoft Office, enterprise applications, and custom software solutions. Manage computer hardware setups, upgrades, repairs, and configurations to optimize performance. Support computer networking tasks such as configuring TCP/IP settings, DNS management, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, VPN setup, firewall configuration, and network security protocols like Meraki. Assist with desktop support tasks including user account management via Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and BMC Remedy incident tracking. Maintain and support IT infrastructure components such as Windows Server environments, Linux servers, network switches, routers, and firewalls. Utilize tools like ServiceNow and Jira for ticketing, incident tracking, and workflow management to ensure timely resolution of issues. Support mobile devices and peripherals to ensure seamless connectivity and functionality across all user devices. Collaborate with network administrators on LAN/WAN issues and assist in network administration tasks to uphold system security and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting. Familiarity with operating systems including Windows (especially Windows Server), macOS, and Linux environments. Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), LAN/WAN architecture, and network security best practices. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise tools like SCCM, GPO, Active Directory, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex technical issues quickly and effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service standards.
