Network / Tier 2 / Field Technician (Austin, TX)

We are a well-established, locally owned IT support and computer repair company that has been serving Austin businesses and individuals since 1999. We've built our reputation on technical excellence, genuine customer care, and a no-BS approach to work. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Network / Tier 2 / Field Technician to join our tight-knit team of professionals who actually enjoy their jobs. This is a customer-facing field role that combines hands-on technical work with on-site support across the Austin area. You'll be the trusted expert who solves problems and builds lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on workstations, servers, and network infrastructure Diagnose and resolve complex issues on PCs, Macs, servers, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.) Troubleshoot and repair network problems, including connectivity, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues Support Windows domain environments, Office 365, and cloud services Provide excellent on-site customer service — listen to clients, uncover needs, and deliver solutions Document all work thoroughly in our ticketing system Occasionally assist with installations, upgrades, and network projects
Requirements:
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (this is a field position) Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Excellent problem-solving mindset — you have strong "Google-Fu" and love figuring things out Professional demeanor and communication skills Technical Qualifications (Strong candidates will have solid experience in most of these areas): Ubiquiti, Cisco, and Meraki networking equipment Office 365 administration and SharePoint PC/laptop hardware and software troubleshooting (Windows + Mac) Server administration, VMware, and Hyper-V Active Directory / Domain environments, TCP/IP, VPNs, and wireless networking
