Primary Purpose:

Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment as well as network and software applications throughout the district. Operate and maintain the district's local area network (LAN), wireless networks (WIFI) and wide area networks (WAN); install, test and maintain network hardware, backups, software and related systems.

Education:

Associate's Degree Valid Texas Driver's License

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of computer workstation setup Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications Knowledge of LAN and WAN network installation and management Knowledge of network hardware and software applications including network servers, printers, and other equipment Ability to work with multiple operating systems and network protocols (i.e. UNIX, MS-DOS, and MAC-OS) Ability to analyze and resolve computer network problems Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Experience:

Two years of experience with network support
