We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our dynamic IT support team with critical infrastructure experience. In this role, you will be the first line of defense in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our organization's network infrastructure. Your expertise in troubleshooting, network management, and customer service will ensure seamless connectivity and optimal system operation across multiple platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while supporting critical IT operations.
Job Description:
  • Monitor multiple BMS systems for any unusual activities or failure of the critical infrastructure equipment and operating systems that support the data center environment
  • Provide technical support to other teams or clients, as required
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all alarms and customer portal ticketing
  • Responsible for customer and event notification
  • Work with 1547 IT to coordinate and execute routine maintenance and system upgrades
  • Support 1547 IT to perform advanced network troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Communicate effectively with 1547 IT to ensure efficient operation of the networks
  • Support 1547 IT to coordinate and execute routine maintenance and system upgrades
  • Support 1547 IT to assist in the configuration and deployment of network equipment
  • Follow daily procedures and walk through reporting
  • Support security/access control including shipping and receiving duties
  • Assist with response to emergency situations and customer requests as needed
  • Work well in a team environment, willing to share ideas
  • Work with facility staff to ensure that power, cooling, and all other facility provided services are working properly; and ensure that any outages are addressed and escalated accordingly.
Requirements:
  • Trade school or associate degree preferred
  • 2 + years in network operations or related field
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and software
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching
  • Be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Join an "on call" rotation to assist with unscheduled events and emergencies
  • Able to assist with site inspections in a large property based on location
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission critical environment
  • Familiarity of mission-critical facility infrastructure, including power distribution, UPS and generator systems, cooling/HVAC equipment, and environmental monitoring systems
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
