Based on assignment as defined on pages 20- 21 in SAISD Compensation Manual. Part-Time work schedule will not exceed twenty- five (25) hours per week. Hourly rate is $16.50 an hour.FLSA Classification:

This position is locally funded. Position Summary Provides support for new technology deployments at campuses by ensuring the proper-day-today operation of technology applications and equipment. Provides desk-side and IT assistance in resolving technology support issues. Performs installations, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other maintenance tasks. Proficient in commonly used business applications and telephone support. Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities 1. Receive technology problems from service desk representative or directly from clients 2. Provide basic knowledge in hardware, software, network, and telecommunication issues. 3. Prioritize tasks and documents nature of problem. 4. Assist in the proper operation of technology applications and equipment. 5. Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrade tasks. 6. Assist in non-complex repairs. 7. Assist with new technology deployments. 8. Follow manual instructions with set up of computer and/or peripheral equipment. 9. Assist with Technology related to campus/department moves. 10. Bag and tag of Technology assets at schools where construction is occurring. 11. Provide information to assist in the preparation of progress reports and updates Level III Desktop Technician on status of problems. 12. Assist in the resolving technology support issues for employees which may require desk-side assistance. 13. Keep informed of most recent trends and technologies. 14. Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position. Minimum Requirements High School Graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency or higher. Up to 12 months of PC and technology support experience. Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record. Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee. Preferred Requirements Experience with computer installation. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Able to work flexible hours as needed. Basic knowledge of PC maintenance. Basic knowledge of PC applications. Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills. PC and related software applications. Demonstrates integrity, high expectations, commitment, respect, dedication to teamwork and passion for a student-centered environment Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job Ability to load stand-alone software as required. Knowledge of proper procedures for lifting and handling heavy materials and of safety standards. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, verbal, and written instructions. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.Working Conditions Work Environment:

Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines; frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, pulling and pushing; reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity and prolonged data input; occasional lift/carry light, moderate 15-44 pounds.
