Job Description

Position Overview D&L Foundry is seeking a hands-on Temporary IT Technician to support infrastructure upgrades and general IT improvements across our facility. This role is heavily focused on physical IT hardware, cabling, and network installations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Run and route Ethernet cabling throughout the facility Terminate and test Ethernet and fiber optic connections Install and configure wireless access points (WAPs), network switches, and related hardware Deploy and mount security cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) Set up and deploy workstation hardware (PCs, monitors, peripherals) Organize, label, and clean up existing network closets and switch boxes Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues as needed Maintain documentation of installed infrastructure and changes Required Qualifications Experience with Ethernet cabling, termination, and testing Familiarity with installing network hardware (switches, WAPs, patch panels, etc.) Basic understanding of fiber optic termination and handling Ability to use standard tools (crimpers, punch-down tools, testers, etc.) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently Preferred Qualifications Understanding of networking fundamentals such as:
TCP/IP DHCP
VLANs DNS Experience with security camera systems and NVR setups Prior experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable working on ladders and in tight spaces Ability to stand, walk, and work on-site for extended periods
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
