Direct Hire (W2 only), no C2C, 3 rd Parties, or 1099 at this time The Product Owner, Web is responsible for the successful delivery and evolution of a comprehensive web ecosystem, including the public-facing site, user portals, and all supporting integrations. This role ensures the web platform serves as a high-impact channel for user acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth. Working from priorities established by the Project Manager, the Product Owner manages the full product lifecycle-from ideation through launch-translating strategic goals into actionable work and delivering high-quality, customer-centric features. This role operates at the center of cross-functional collaboration, guiding daily execution across business, design, engineering, and external partners. Decision-Making Authority Within defined priorities, this role has ownership over how work is executed and delivered, including: Determining when completed work meets acceptance criteria and is ready for release Translating priorities into clearly defined backlog items, user stories, and acceptance criteria Setting standards for user experience and product quality across web properties Making day-to-day trade-offs to maintain progress and delivery momentum Approving external vendor deliverables based on requirements, quality, and brand alignment Directing team execution and supporting the development of direct reports Key Responsibilities Product Delivery & Backlog Management Own delivery of the full web portfolio, including the public site, user portals, and system integrations Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs Define consistent, high-quality user experiences across all web touchpoints (navigation, content, forms, landing pages) Partner with stakeholders to translate business and marketing goals into clearly defined product work Represent the product perspective in cross-functional discussions and decision-making Discovery, Definition & Experience Design Lead the identification and validation of meaningful problems to solve, partnering with research and analytics functions Promote experimentation through A/B testing, personalization, and conversion optimization Advocate for intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences Collaborate with design, content, and SEO teams to shape information architecture and messaging Translate concepts into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria Delivery Execution (PDLC) Maintain a well-groomed backlog aligned to delivery priorities and lifecycle phases Work closely with engineering teams to refine scope, clarify requirements, and ensure readiness for development Serve as the primary point of accountability for defining "done" Lead acceptance of completed work, coordinate user acceptance testing, and approve releases Partner with delivery leadership (e.g., Scrum Master) to ensure smooth execution and adherence to Agile practices Portals & Integrations Ownership Oversee the development and enhancement of all user portals, ensuring alignment with broader web experience standards Guide the delivery of integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity between web platforms and backend or third-party systems (e.g., CRM, analytics, payment platforms) Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration Lead a cross-functional delivery team, including direct and matrixed contributors (designers, developers, content specialists, etc.) Provide clear direction and prioritization to drive efficient execution Manage relationships with agencies, contractors, and technology vendors, holding them accountable for delivery standards Intake and prioritize content updates and landing page requests from stakeholders Measurement & Continuous Improvement Define success metrics for all delivered features and validate outcomes post-launch Use analytics to uncover user behavior insights and optimization opportunities Continuously refine the backlog based on performance data and learnings Communicate delivery progress, performance metrics, and business impact to stakeholders Monitor site performance, including speed and core web vitals, and drive ongoing improvements People Leadership Provide daily guidance, coaching, and professional development support to at least one direct report Skills & Qualifications Strong foundation in Agile/Scrum methodologies and full product development lifecycle management Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on architecture, integrations, and technical trade-offs Proven expertise in backlog management, user story creation, and translating business needs into deliverables Familiarity with modern web technologies (e.g., CMS platforms, front-end concepts, APIs) Demonstrated success delivering measurable outcomes through data-driven prioritization and experimentation Experience with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, analytics platforms (e.g., GA4), and design tools (e.g., Figma) Excellent communication and presentation skills across technical and business audiences Experience managing external vendors or distributed teams Passion for delivering high-quality, accessible digital experiences Education Bachelor's degree in business, technology, marketing, or a related field preferred Experience 4+ years in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role delivering digital products Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and managing enterprise-level platforms 2+ years working within Agile/Scrum environments and structured development lifecycles Hands-on experience with web platforms and system integrations (e.g., CMS, APIs, CRM systems) preferred Industry experience in regulated or
