Job overview and responsibilities Associate Product Owner in IT, supports the product/application development cycle with a focus on understanding airline operations. Assisting in developing functionality by learning about specific business functions and their associated dependencies. Communicating effectively with business users, technology teams, and leadership in an Agile environment. Assisting in the creation of detailed requirements in the form of user stories, supporting the Agile development and testing teams from start to finish. Helping to build vision and create roadmaps based on business priorities, and tracking the progress of product deliverables. Gaining knowledge of system design architecture to support discussions on updates to technical components. Learning about Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps, and Quality Assurance processes to contribute to successful product development. Assisting in the creation of detailed requirements in the form of user stories, supporting the Agile development and testing teams from start to finish Supports the management of a story backlog to ensure readiness of user stories for the upcoming sprint and creates acceptance criteria that is clear, concise and actionable Contributes to overall definition of strategy and scope, including working with business stakeholders to understand 'why' we are working on something before development begins Works with Product Owners to ensure that business requirements are translated into accurate, actionable user stories Works with User Experience (UX) analysts to ensure prototypes convey story intent Works with Dev and QA to understand the boundaries of any given story Identifies opportunities for improvement across product, process and team Analyzes data to ensure features are aligned with product goals/objectives and delivering the most business value Provide project support during release and implementation periods Qualifications What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems Integration or relevant field is required 2+ years of related experience or successful completion of United DT Early Career Digital Leadership Program (ECDLP) Experience in the digital technology space Agile & Scrum Knowledge Business/System requirements DevOps Process Strong oral and written communication skills Strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization Ability to understand, communicate and engage effectively with multiple team members and interactions Strong problem-solving, listening, written and verbal communication and decision-making skills Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): Experience in aviation or airport operations Related certifications are a plus Agile/Scrum experience Experience in a business analyst role The base pay range for this role is $89,965.00 to $117,212.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
