Technology Project & Program Manager -Product Owner

• Product Owner
• responsible for executing strategic roadmap initiatives related to Lippincott Clinical Context (LCC), inclusive of strategic priorities regarding analytics and shared platform services (such as ecommerce/B2C enablement).

We are seeking a systems-oriented "service" owner who excels in dynamic environments where balancing customer requirements, stakeholder interests, and time-sensitive deliverables is essential. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with Product Management and Technology (including a multidisciplinary Agile team) to deliver impactful product increments, maintain a well-prioritized backlog, and address issues and enhancements with clarity, urgency, and exceptional communication. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong systems thinking, disciplined backlog management, and an aptitude for guiding teams through complex challenges, shifting priorities, and high-volume demands. Success in this position requires establishing strong operational day-to-day frameworks: structured intake processes, rigorous prioritization, meticulous attention to backlog practices, concise stakeholder communications, and proactive risk mitigation. This Product Owner reports to the Director of Product Development and will be part of a team of Product Owners working on products across Health, Learning, and Practice. The Product Owner's primary responsibilities include: + Coordinating with Product Management on activities (e.g., lean experiments, competitive/market intelligence, customer insights/analysis) designed to ensure deep understanding of customer needs. + Translating high-level user stories from Product Management into specific technical development items/requests, with clear metrics for success articulated in each requirement. + Bringing strong organizational skills, as well as ruthless prioritization, to how product backlogs are crafted/maintained/grow. + Serving as an advocate for LCC priorities across multiple development teams, while negotiating against competing priorities from other product teams. + Owning the product development lifecycle/schedule, working with Agile/Scrum teams to plan for, and execute on, sprints and releases that deliver on the Product Manager's roadmap priorities. + Working with the Agile/Scrum teams to maintain the health/performance of assigned products/platforms, such as compliance with required norms and standards for security, privacy, accessibility, and discoverability, as well as integration with other systems (e.g., electronic health record systems, learning management systems). + Ensuring that where an assigned product needs to interface with other products or platforms, they partner and closely collaborate with other Product Owners and Technology colleagues to identify opportunities for efficiencies/consistency in development approaches. + Being the "glue" in the product team who acts as a product's "subject matter expert" for questions and requests for updates (about existing and upcoming features/functionality) from Product Management, Technology, Content, Product Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, and Customer Success/Support.

Education:

+ College degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

+ 1+ years' experience in digital product development (particularly with Agile/Scrum teams) or equivalent experience in working on products/solutions for the nursing practice market

Required:

+ Demonstrated experience understanding user needs and market trends that are successfully translated into practical plans + Strong knowledge of every stage of the product development process from concept to post-launch + Proven ability to craft workflow and user experience requirements that meet strategic business goals + Working knowledge of integrations with learning platforms (LMS), as well as CE/credentialing workflows and/or enterprise-wide software solutions (e.g., search, ecommerce/B2C, etc.) + Strong oral and written communication skills + Strong project management skills, including ability to develop schedules and oversee work-in-progress for budgeting compliance

Preferred:

+ Familiarity with data analytics (e.g., Google, Qualtrics, etc.) and dashboard creation/usage + Exposure to WCAG requirements for accessibility + Certification as either a Scrum Master or Product Owner (e.g., from Scrum Alliance) + Experience in contributing to customer-facing communication plans, creating product demos for stakeholders, triaging/troubleshooting customer escalations (in collaboration with Support personnel) + Familiarity with backlog software (e.g., Jira, VSO, Trello, Wrike) and team communication applications (Slack, MS Teams, etc.)

• Compensation:

• $75,900.00 - $129,950.00 USD _Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
