Position Summary:
As a Product Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, defining product requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver valuable solutions to our customers. You will play a key role in understanding user needs and translating them into actionable product specifications. You will work closely with other Product Analysts, Product Managers, software engineering teams and with cross-functional stakeholders to contribute to the success of our innovative products and solutions. This position is an in-office, in-person, or hybrid role if local to South Bend, or remote if not local to South Bend.
Primary Responsibilities:
Gather and document detailed user requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Create and maintain product documentation, including training material, project implementation, and process flows. Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure successful implementation. Participate in user research and usability testing to understand user needs and pain points. Assist in the coordination and execution of new product and feature customer implementations. Provides Tier III support for troubleshooting and mitigation efforts with internal teams. Participate in respective agile ceremonies for initiatives and products. Maintain the prioritization of product backlog based on data and business value for responsible initiatives and products. Stay informed about the healthcare IT landscape and competitive products.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience with data analysis tools and techniques, SQL, spreadsheet software (Excel), presentation software (PowerPoint), mockup/wireframing tools (Balsamiq). Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Familiarity with product management tools (Atlassian - Jira and Confluence). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Demonstrates a strong customer focus. Willing and ready to exemplify HHIT's core values on a daily basis Responsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties by strictly adhering to HHIT's data security and privacy policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA, PIPEDA and all other applicable law. Proficient in Microsoft tools. Speaking and writing English is a requirement for this position.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Optional:
Relevant certifications in business analysis or product management (e.g., Mountain Goat - Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Institute, Certified Business Analysis Professional - CBAP). 2-5 years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, or a related field. Experience in the healthcare IT industry is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
