Chicago, IL Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a high-performing Product Management team supporting enterprise platform development initiatives. This role will work closely with Program Managers, Business Product Managers, and Development Teams to maximize product value, drive delivery priorities, and manage the product backlog throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong Agile Product Ownership experience, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to independently drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Hybrid Remote Expected onsite presence: 2-3 days per week Possibility of transitioning to full onsite (5 days/week) in the future

Working Hours:

CST business hours Key Responsibilities Own and manage the Product Backlog, ensuring priorities align with business value Partner with business stakeholders and development teams to define product vision and roadmap Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and convert them into features/user stories in Azure DevOps Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives Act as the primary decision-maker for product functionality and feature prioritization Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to drive product delivery Inspect sprint outcomes and accept or reject completed work from development teams Communicate project status, risks, and priorities to stakeholders and leadership Champion Agile best practices and contribute to Agile maturity within the organization Coordinate meetings, workshops, and sessions required to advance product development Team & Environment Collaborate with internal business units and platform development teams Work closely with teams primarily located in Chicago and Peoria Operate within a highly collaborative Agile environment focused on enterprise digital solutions Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or related field 8+ years of overall professional experience 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner 5+ years of experience leading technical teams while managing multiple projects 3+ years of Agile methodology experience 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to independently drive projects forward Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration experience Preferred Qualifications Product Owner Certification Experience working with enterprise business applications Strong Agile coaching or Agile community involvement Desired Soft Skills Proactive and self-driven mindset Strong accountability and ownership mentality Excellent planning and organizational abilities Ability to manage sensitive or high-impact situations professionally Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
