Job Description
What will you be doing? Barclays Services Corp. seeks Technical Product Owner, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available): Architect and deliver end-to-end Fintech platforms, orchestrating scalable microservices, resilient cloud-native deployments, and distributed system integrations to support high throughput financial operations. Strategize and own the product roadmap for Securitized Products, driving feature prioritization based on quantitative impact, regulatory alignment, and technical feasibility while maintaining a high-fidelity, continuously groomed backlog. Lead Agile and DevOps transformation, executing sprint ceremonies, enforcing CI/CD best practices, and automating delivery pipelines to accelerate release velocity and reduce operational overhead. Enforce engineering discipline through standardized JIRA workflows, velocity tracking, and story point estimation, optimizing team throughput and delivery predictability. Leverage AWS CloudWatch Logs and advanced observability tools to proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and uphold high availability standards in compliance with SLAs. Translate complex financial use cases into executable technical artifacts, aligning cross-functional teams on epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that meet compliance, risk, and operational mandates. Drive enterprise-wide collaboration across trading desks, operations, engineering, L1 support, and governance teams to ensure seamless product delivery and regulatory alignment. Operationalize data-driven decision-making by querying MongoDB, scripting data validations, and leveraging Excel Macros to analyze KPIs, prioritize features, and resolve edge cases. Lead quality engineering efforts, coordinating with QA and support teams for regression planning, API validation (Postman, Insomnia), and structured data debugging (XML/JSON via Notepad++). Deliver executive-grade reporting and technical documentation, building real-time dashboards, authoring system integration maps, and institutionalizing DevOps, version control, and release governance standards. Rate Minimum/yr:
$166,000 per year Salary /Rate Maximum/yr:
$175,000 per year The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available. Purpose of the role To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank's technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. Accountabilities Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development. Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure. Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance. Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards. Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
