FreelanceRemote$70 - $80 /hr Posted May 14, 2026 Overview of the Role Our well-known healthcare client is seeking a Technical Product Owner to support digital product development initiatives within a large healthcare and technology organization. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring that product solutions are aligned with business objectives while meeting technical requirements and scalability standards. The Technical Product Owner will operate within an Agile Scrum environment, owning the product backlog, defining user stories, and driving execution across mobile and web-based applications. This role requires a strong balance of business acumen, technical understanding, and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development plans and high-quality product outcomes.

Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week Top 3 Required Qualifications Experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar role within Agile Scrum environments, with responsibility for backlog ownership and delivery Strong experience supporting development of mobile and or web-based digital products Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria Other Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent experience Experience working with product development architecture, system design, and integration concepts Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform product decisions Experience prioritizing and managing competing stakeholder needs in fast-paced environments Ability to identify risks, perform root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working with Agile tools and processes, including sprint planning and backlog grooming Healthcare or life sciences experience is a plus Experience with EPIC APIs or healthcare system integrations is a plus Scrum Product Owner certification is preferred Key Responsibilities Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and release plans in partnership with stakeholders Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements, translating them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and sprint reviews Collaborate with engineering teams to support development, testing, and validation of product features Conduct data analysis and reporting to evaluate product performance and inform enhancements Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints, and proactively manage resolution Support deployment and implementation activities, including change management considerations Review and interpret vendor and system architecture to ensure proper integration with existing platforms Monitor progress toward sprint and release goals, removing roadblocks and ensuring timely delivery Define and track key metrics to measure product success and business impact In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
