Job Description:
The Agile Product Owner - Senior Advisor is accountable for driving portfolio initiatives in support of the Specialty Pharmacy area. This role applies deep technical and operational expertise to provide business leadership and support to Express Scripts Operations , ensuring technology products, systems, and services align with organizational objectives. The Senior Advisor ensures business requirements are clear, actionable, and outcome-driven , and that the execution of approved initiatives delivers measurable value. This role owns initiatives end-to-end-managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and outcomes to ensure successful delivery across the assigned portfolio.
Primary Functions:
Provide business leadership and delivery oversight for cross-functional, operational, strategic, and tactical initiatives within the Specialty Pharmacy domain. Coordinate and align cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives and associated deliverables are completed on time and in support of overall project objectives. Gather and analyze data; develop queries; document and validate business and technical requirements; track action items through structured project plans; and deliver clear, concise status reporting . Ensure adherence to established processes, documentation standards, and governance, partnering with accountable business and delivery leaders. Drive timely execution of initiatives , proactively escalating risks, roadblocks, and shifting priorities while maintaining transparent communication with leadership. Optimize outcomes within defined scope, schedule, and constraints , partnering with delivery teams to assess progress, resolve escalated issues, and remove product or delivery impediments. Contribute to the strategic direction and multi-year product roadmap , aligning initiatives with business priorities and enterprise goals. Serve as a key liaison between business and technology , executing portfolio-level initiatives, resolving complex issues, monitoring KPI performance, and providing leadership-ready updates. Own financial accountability for initiatives, partnering with resource management to complete financial analyses and track savings, margin impact, and realized benefits. Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, performance metrics, and operational KPIs within the assigned product or capability area. Leverage data and insights to identify and drive new product enhancements and process improvement opportunities . Partner closely with business, technology, and analytics teams to understand customer needs, achieve business objectives, and improve customer satisfaction and NPS . Collaborate with analytics teams to define and develop new data sources and KPIs where gaps exist. Lead large-scale, complex technology initiatives within Specialty Pharmacy and provide guidance to others on gathering, refining, and documenting high-quality requirements.
