L2 Product Owner - Application Security#26-05912 Columbus, OH Dallas, TX Charlotte, NC Onsite Contract Starts 6/15/2026 Ends 6/14/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a L2 Product Owner - Application Security for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH, Dallas, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking an experienced L2 Product Owner to support an Application Security (AppSec) delivery group. This role is part of a centralized AppSec organization and is responsible for translating high-level strategy into executable product features, ensuring successful delivery in alignment with the product model. The Product Owner will partner closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to drive oues across the assigned group.

Responsibilities:

Translate enterprise AppSec vision, strategy, and roadmap into actionable deliverables Align delivery oues with leadership-defined goals and priorities Own and manage product features within the assigned delivery group, ensuring alignment with product model standards and security objectives Define timelines and manage delivery using Agile/Scrum methodologies Break down initiatives into epics, features, and user stories for quarterly and annual planning Drive initiatives from intake through execution and delivery Maintain ownership of the product backlog and control prioritization based on business value, risk, and strategic alignment Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure successful feature delivery, serving as the link between strategic direction and execution

Requirements:

5+ years of Digital Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or abination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education Proven experience as a Product Owner within a product operating model Strong background in Application Security (AppSec) Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks Ability to translate strategy into detailed product features and execution plans Experience managing backlogs and driving prioritization Strong collaboration andmunication skills with technical teams General understanding of secure coding, DevSecOps practices, SAST, SCA, and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Checkmarx, TruffleHog) Desired skills: Background in AppSec engineering with a transition into product ownership Experience in large,plex enterprise environments Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and standards Pay range: $51.09 - $59.09 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
