Job Description

The Scrum Master
  • Vice President is a senior-level position responsible for facilitating Agile delivery across multiple AI-focused project teams.
This role manages concurrent sprint execution, acting as the primary liaison between Technology teams and Business stakeholders. The overall objective of this role is to drive Agile best practices, remove impediments, and ensure the efficient delivery of AI initiatives and cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities:
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary milestones to support system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements Help to resolve variety of high impact problems/sprints through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards Facilitate all ceremonies, including Daily meetings, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, ensuring they are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox. Guide and coach the Team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Serve as the primary point of contact for all sprint-related communications, effectively managing stakeholder expectations. Lead the day-to-day execution of sprint tasks, ensuring that teams are on track to meet milestones. Utilize Jira and other Agile project management tools to track team progress, manage backlogs, and provide key metrics and reports on team performance. Work with technical leads to identify and resolve technical roadblocks and challenges. Help the program manager to define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments that hinder team progress, escalating to leadership when necessary Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within and across teams Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Recommended Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3-4 years serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator in technology-driven environments Expert-level understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and project management methodologies.. Extensive, hands-on knowledge and experience with Jira for Agile project management. Proven experience in coaching teams on Agile principles and Scrum practices. General understanding of AI/ML project lifecycles, including data preparation, model development, testing, and deployment concepts Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks/projects effectively
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master's degree preferred Scrum certification recommended This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
