Job Description

We are looking for an Agile Scrum Master to support delivery excellence for a life insurance organization in West Des Moines, Iowa. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for a collaborative leader who can guide agile teams, strengthen collaboration with product partners, and improve consistency in planning and execution. The role focuses on advancing team effectiveness, increasing delivery transparency, and establishing practical flow-based measures in a complex environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead Scrum ceremonies and coach teams on agile principles to promote steady, high-quality delivery
  • Partner with Product Owners and product management to keep priorities clear, actionable, and aligned to business goals
  • Drive sprint planning, daily execution, and retrospective follow-through to improve team accountability and outcomes
  • Introduce and track flow-based metrics that provide insight into throughput, bottlenecks, and delivery health
  • Support backlog refinement by helping teams break down work into well-defined, ready items
  • Work closely with platform and infrastructure teams to coordinate dependencies and reduce delivery friction
  • Identify risks, blockers, and process gaps early, then facilitate timely resolution across stakeholders
  • Improve predictability by encouraging disciplined estimation, capacity planning, and continuous process improvement
