Software Project Lead (Client-Facing)

Overview:

As we continue to grow, we're adding additional leadership capacity to support client projects. We're looking for a hybrid leader who can bridge the gap between clients and developers - someone who can shape solutions, guide projects, and ensure successful delivery. This role sits at the intersection of software development, project leadership, and client engagement. You'll work directly with clients, help define solutions, and lead projects from concept through completion.

What You'll Do:

Work directly with clients to understand needs and define solutions Translate business requirements into clear plans and realistic estimates Lead small teams (typically 1-5 developers) through delivery Manage scope, priorities, and client expectations Identify risks early and adjust plans accordingly Participate in development when needed Contribute to improving how we plan and deliver projects

How We Use AI:

We actively use modern AI tools (e.g., code assistants, LLMs, automation workflows) to accelerate development and improve quality. In this role, you will be expected to: Use AI tools to assist with coding, debugging, and learning Validate and refine AI-generated output to meet production standards Develop your own workflow for using AI effectively Continuously adapt as tools evolve

What We're Looking For:

Strong ownership mindset - you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks Ability to understand both business problems and technical solutions Experience estimating and planning software work Comfortable leading client conversations and managing expectations Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Typical Background:

4-10 years in software development, technical leadership, or similar hybrid roles

Requirements:

Experience with modern web development (.NET Core/ASP.NET and Blazor, SQL, JavaScript or similar) Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders Agile experience preferred
