Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is looking for a talented and passionate Scrum Master to join our team, focused on building new capabilities as part of our Enterprise API group.

Are comfortable tackling new challenges and ways of workingAre passionate and experienced in the Agile frameworkAre comfortable challenging your peers and leadership teamCan leverage agentic AI in your practice to unlock new insights and opportunities for your teamsAs AVP Digital Scrum Master, you'll be responsible for leading two Agile scrum teams executing the roadmap for services that power our digital servicing applications, and facilitating strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders.

This role is responsible for collaborating with digital product owners, technical leads, clients and other stakeholders in delivering a seamless customer experience in the authentication space, onboarding client-specific implementations, enhancing our lookup capabilities for internal stakeholders, and leading the Agile teams to deliver.

The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a focus on technology and Agile development, as well as high technical acumen and a proven track record of delivering critical initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
Passionate about leading development teams with a servant leadership mentalityWork with agentic AI to generate empirical reports on flowCommunicate and facilitate effectively across diverse audiences within and outside of the Agile Team (program peers, key stakeholders, executives and clients)Manage a diverse development team consisting of application architects, application engineers, quality engineers, and third-party contractors.
Facilitate Agile Ceremonies:
Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Demos/Reviews, Retrospectives, and release planning.

Manage Sprints - keeping order, process, delivery, priorities accurate and on timeKeep scrum team focused on concrete priorities while keeping outside influences from disrupting the Scrum team and actively identify and remove waste and distractionsWork with Product Owners and QA team to ensure that testing and feedback is completed in a timely manner and meeting the Sprint timelinesAdvocate for autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teamsParticipate as part of the Synchrony Innovation Station in contributing and leading innovation activities and practices with the full cross-functional product team and in partnership with the other Synchrony Innovation Stations.

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience; OR in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experienceAbility and flexibility to travel for business as required

Grade/Level:
11The salary range for this position is90,•,•USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training and culture events.•Field Sales and some Commercial team roles may have varied location requirements based upon partner obligations or preferences.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or olderYou must have a high school diploma or equivalentYou must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding processYou must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post.
