Job Description

Who We're Looking For (Position Overview): Spry is seeking a Scrum Master to join our contract with a government customer in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will guide Agile teams in applying Scrum principles, practices, and frameworks to deliver high-value solutions. This role involves facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, fostering team collaboration, and supporting continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with product owners, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful delivery of project objectives. What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities): Facilitate the development and implementation of Agile processes and ceremonies. Provide day-to-day Scrum leadership and support for Agile teams. Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure clear priorities and delivery alignment. Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Identify, track, and help remove impediments to maintain team momentum. Monitor and report on team performance, delivery progress, and sprint metrics. Support backlog refinement and ensure work items are well-defined and ready for execution. Champion continuous improvement by guiding teams in adopting Agile best practices. Foster a supportive, transparent, and collaborative team environment to maximize value delivery. What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements): Minimum of 3 years of experience in Agile project management, with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master or similar role. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban; familiarity with SAFe a plus). Demonstrated knowledge of Agile principles, practices, and techniques, including backlog management, sprint planning, estimation, and team facilitation. Proven ability to facilitate ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and remove impediments to maintain delivery momentum. Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications): Experience with SharePoint, ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Power BI Experience working with NIWC Atlantic or DoD environment Education - Bachelors degree in business or technical field We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
